Our Mission

We believe we have been placed in our community and our patients’ lives for a reason, and as such we will constantly seek to fulfill that purpose. We work to serve our community and improve the health and lives of our patients. We are not the most important people in our practice: Our patients are the focus of everything we do.

COVID-19 Update

In order to better serve our community in these challenging times, we’ve adopted virtual consultations. Whether you are in need of an oral surgeon, or simply a doctor’s advice, please call and schedule today!

Our Caring Staff

Our patients have said it best: Their experience at Alpine Oral and Facial Surgery would not have been quite as comfortable or as special without the attention, care and concern of our supporting staff, from our team of registered nurses to our receptionists, and everyone in between.

Meet the Oral Surgeon

R.F. John Holtzen, D.M.D.

Dedication to ongoing professional development through continuing education and the acquisition of new technologies is at the core of Dr. John Holtzen’s practice. But although Dr. Holtzen is passionate about utilizing skill and technology to change the lives of his patients, his greatest passion is found in his desire to provide health care in a fashion that lets each patient know that he cares deeply for their individual needs and for their overall experience.

What People Say

Dr. Holtzen is extremely skilled. He and the entire team at [Alpine Oral and Facial Surgery] are amazing! The level of care my husband received was outstanding. They treated us like they would want their families cared for and it shows. They do their professional best to ensure you have the finest possible outcome. Thank you for giving my husband back his smile! We are forever grateful. I recommend this team to anyone!

Dr. Holtzen is considerate and kind, taking that extra step to let me know that I am not just another patient, but that I am an individual, receiving undivided attention and care. He is very gentle, which I think is so important when it comes to oral care. I highly recommend Dr. Holtzen. His integrity and attention to detail, combined with his outstanding education and experience, serves his patients well. Dr. Holtzen is also clearly talented in his field, an added bonus.

I was in intense pain to the point of not having been able to sleep, and these guys were able to squeeze me in for surgery yesterday morning. I'm so appreciative and am already feeling much better! They were so nice and friendly too.

Overall friendly and assuring staff! I came specifically to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I had been referred by the Partnership Health Center dental office because I wanted sedation. The experience was not as bad as I feared - but I surely had a nervous stomach ache before going in for the operation. My only complaints were that I waited an extra long time in the room where I was asked to change and one other. You did not have a spray or gel to apply to the surface of my skin for numbing it before inserting the IV. I have sensitive skin and don't like needles poking into it. Fortunately after LaiLa got it in; I didn't feel so bad.
